In a Cat's Eyes
Here I have compiled some pictures of my cats eyes .
Cats that I have owned in the past  or still do own.
I find a cat's eyes are so unique, so colourful and
Honest, truthful ,loving, looking for true affection............
Each single cat's eyes are different, yet alike,,,much like us..
The Blues ,so blue like the sea and Oceans,
so deep or light teal blue,
or light blue like the colour of our blue skies in the summer .
The green so mossy, and so emerald...
Or like the leaves of the trees,
Or water of our rivers......~~~~~~~
I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures, as much as I have. And I
also super enjoyed sharing their lives.
Nine lives, nine chances to love us.

Cat's Eyes
Of all the cats senses which are all remarkable , the Cat's sense of sight is
most wonderful, besides the colour that is.
Cat's can see much better in dark , than we realize.
In the dark they are able to function with approx. one sixth of light needed that
we need.
Cats have two shuttle like ciliary muscle in the eyes , when we have one.
They also have a reflective layer on the surface of the retina, which helps the
retina, to receive the image more better,,,enhanced.
Another feature of the cats eye is the Haw or third eye.
It flicks across the eye diagonally, to lubricate ,and clean the eye ball.
They see in colour , predominatly ,white ,blue , and red.
Cats also have binocular vision , allowing them to watch their preys movements,
outlines and distance. The cats eye lens are highly mobile with a like auto focus
,which allows them to have fast focus on their prey.
Cats are nocturnal hunters.
This does not mean they can see in total darkness  but, they can use whatever
light there is present , whether we perceive there is light or not ,it is there  ,
They use it faster and far, far better.,and there is always some light even when
we see pitch black.
Their eyes have a reflective cells known as the Lucidum, which give that look of "
nightshine " Which is created when they reflect light back to us.
When light passes through the receivers of the retina, it is reflected back through
the retina, for a second time, stimulating the receptors.,,and the unreflected light
increases the cat's night  VISION .
which is probably why they seem to become more active  at night.
Their pupils compared to the human eye pupil , have a much larger lens too,
in order to allow in as much light as possible, The lens are much closer to the
retina than ours.
Moods:
Cats have moods too...Cats reflect their moods in their eyes.
When a cat is angry the cat will have a narrowed pupil. Also when it is
frightened, or excited.
A mellow, happy cats pupils will appear a shade darker than normal
